I prefer to do my grades twice with two different programs
as a check. I usually am off by 5 to 10 points. The last
mistake I found was that I accidently deleted a test from IC.
Currently I use Excel as a control. It is easy to enter the
grades into Excel, but very difficult to copy those grades
into IC.
Power Grade and Power School are both difficult for teachers
to use. The only good quality is that they allow students
and parents to check their grades.
I think that Excel is kind of a standard for teachers and
students. There are probably gradebook programs written
around the familiar Excel, but I haven't had time to look
for them.
