    Post: Shelby County

    Posted by marmar on 3/14/09

I am a first year teaching in Mississippi and have
recently decided to move to Memphis. I am now exploring
options for teaching in Shelby County. After speaking to
some friends from the area, they really encouraged me to
stay away from Memphis City Schools. What are some
recommended Shelby County schools and their
    interview/application process? I currently teach 8th
grade Pre Algebra but would enjoy teaching a younger grade.
I was also encouraged to research private schools in
Memphis. I am not familiar with teaching in private
schools but would love any advice. Any information on the
salary and benefits in private schools would be
    appreciated.
