Join us Saturday, December 4 from 8:30-11 a.m. at the
Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Ryman Hall C2.
The National Science Teachers Association, WGBH and
Nashville Public Television are co-hosting a FREE community
science event for teachers, students, parents, school
officials and other community members. Participants will
engage in exciting hands-on activities, test and evaluate
various oil spill clean-up methods, learn how to grow a
plant hydroponically, race solar-powered toy cars, and
much, much more! They will also hear from Mayor Karl Dean
who will give the welcoming remarks and WTVF NewsChannel 5
Meteorologist Lelan Statom, who will give the keynote
address at the event. Science Matters tote bags filled with
cool giveaways will be distributed to the first 150 people
who attend. Visit www.nsta.org/sciencematters/ for more
information or to learn how to register to attend the
Nashville Science Matters Community Event.
