Virginia Beach:
•Effective July 1, 2009, minimum educational requirements will
be 60 semester credit hours from an accredited institution. A
copy of transcripts will be required when the substitute
packet is submitted.
•Salary: The daily rate of pay for substitute teachers is
$91.41. Long term substitute teachers who are licensed in the
subject areas they are teaching and who substitute in the same
position for a minimum of 21 consecutive days may be eligible
for the daily rate of $124.32.
•Please note: the processing time for approval to work is
approximately 3-4 weeks.
