Although Northern VA pays a little more, you do earn EVERY
penny, it's demanding, you have much more to do because of the
competing NoVA counties, you will most likely commute, and
housing is fairly expensive. I am sure that there are many nice
parts of NoVA, and with the current housing situation, you CAN
find deals, but I am biased and hope to move, maybe to Bulldog's
area?!?
If you do decide to teach in Northern VA, RESEARCH it carefully!
Fairfax seems like a nice district, I'm sure that you've read
the Loudouners posts here (need I say more?), Not sure about the
other NoVA counties. Best of luck!
