I too am originally from the "midwest"; specifically Mpls/St Paul.
DC is NOT Virginia.
Traffic throughout the Eastern parts of the Commonwealth sucks due to
years of neglect to transportation issues by a sorry sequence of
politicians in Richmond.
?City life? ?DC? ?Ruralsville?
If you can't find something to do beyond the end of the metroline then
you aren't looking or you are overly dependent on others to
provide "entertainment".
Some areas of VA ARE recession resistant but in todays climate
unemployment statewide is higher than in previous years. If an
individual doesn't possess unique, or high demand skills odds are
they'll be looking for a good while.
