    We already have that, half of my students have some kind of
    accommodation or IEP, and the students who can afford it are
    already in private school. Aside from that our numbers are only
    growing because the 99% is getting bigger and bigger, public
    schools will be around a VERY long time if socio-economic
    influence is the majority predictor of their success.

    The elementary school TEKS are designed to take not just
    developmental appropriateness into account but to move away from
    the idea that "age" indicates readiness for study, the intent is
    to provide instruction that does not alienate the student from
    future learning opportunities. The biggest issue in the last 25
    years of math education has been students developing a hatred for
    math either due to past experience or social pressures.
