    You are not alone in your stress. I hear teachers dropping out of
    teaching reading over this. Yes, parents are angry. Take heart.
    People are figuring out what is going on. Don't believe PsyGuy that
    people have no power. He still has egg on his face over his
    blustering about no one would listen about the crappy lessons in
    CSCOPE...blah, blah. They sure did listen. There is a new wave of
    fireworks to come. But please, teachers, do what you can to stand
    in resistence. Call legislators, talk to parents privately and
    have them take action, join in to parent groups that are fighting
    against fed led ed, and speak up outside of your school district.
    You will not get fired. Teachers have always had the right to speak
    out on political issues that affect their profession. Never try to
    change things in your school--that's the key. There are groups all
    over the state organized and ready to oppose STAAR testing. This is
    just the beginning. There will be good days ahead.
