    Is it legal to ask a 7th grade history teacher to stop
    teaching the 7th grade TEKS and to start teaching the 8th
    grade curriculum? I'm not talking about compacting, where
    you would finish teaching the 7th grade TEKS and then start
    on the 8th grade curriculum. TEA said it would make the
    school out of compliance with the Texas Education Code. My
    school doesn't care. What would you do to protect yourself?
