Suggestion:
Upon entering a sub assignment room (elementary) , I
introduce myself , smile ,draw a rectangle with five
squares within it,and the word RECESS above the rectangle.
As the class starts to get off task , I slowly start
writing an X per square. Class quickly ties-in LOST OF
RECESS to Xs.
I then reward improved class behavior by erasing some Xs.
Works so far!
I will be offering class management plus other suggestions
via Teachers' Lounge column.
