    I taught in a private parochial school years ago. My
    observation is that some schools are good, some are not. Pay
    is usually much lower unless you're teaching at the elite prep
    schools. Many private schools demand much more of
    teachers' time for fundraisers and events than public
    schools. Most have the same issues public schools endure,
    but bury them better. If Daddy can buy a new scholarship,
    problems sometimes "go away." Of course if the student is
    really unruly the student can also "go away"-a luxury that
    public schools don't have since we have to educate everyone
    who says they live in the attendance zone.
