I'll agree with you here that they usually aren't stupid
enough to blantantly list retaliation as a reason for
terminating a teacher. But, that's where you have to have
evidence to convince a court that they did. However, I have
seen a district stupid enough to terminate an employee because
that employee reported a violation of the law, and the
district gave that as a reason in the termination notice. So,
every now and then, a district is stupid enough to hand you a
winning lawsuit on a silver platter.
