    You need to file a police report. You need to prove you were
    assaulted, the district doesnt have to take your word for it. A
    police report and investigation confirms you were assaulted.
    After that file for assault leave again, and inform the
    district you are taking assault leave, dont ask them. If they
    stop paying you, file a grievance and pursue your legal options
    with the commission and with the court. You need to make the
    issue an issue of money.

    I HIGHLY advise you contact a lawyer and if possible your
    teaching association.
