Strength, cardio day and measurement day!

As usual, I warmed up for 5 minutes on the treadmill. I increased the speed from 3.0 to 3.5 and kept the incline at 8.

After warm up, I hit my machines. Today I increased the weight or time of all my strength exercises.

Strength set 1, repeat 3 times --lat pull down, 50 lbs, 15 reps --leg press, 80 lbs, 15 reps --chest press, 30 lbs, 15 reps --dumbbell bicep curls, 12.5 lbs, 15 reps --dumbbell overhead press, 10 lbs, 15 reps --back extension, 10 lbs plate, 15 reps --forearm plank, 1 minute --swiss ball sit ups, 10 lbs plate, 15 reps

The changes I made made this workout a bit harder but I was able to complete everything and maintain proper form. Slowly getting stronger!

Cardio today was 2.4 miles at 3.38 mph average speed. My hamstrings were still tight from last Friday's session. They loosened up during the second mile which made that a bit faster than the first. Slowly getting faster!

Elaine/ret/IN JRod, those are some enviable numbers! Keep it up!

Only 3788 steps today; we spent most of the day in the car picking up DD and DGS at the airport. We did spend some time at the park--at 21 months old, he is just happy to run around and then go up the steps. Going down the slide is the cherry on top of the sundae! Love that little guy! ...See More
