Yes, I live in an area that is extremely hot until about November. I can not open the windows and can not adjust the air. My friend suggested everything you stated. My room was always hotter and more humid than any other room so I finally bought a dehumidifier and it helped somewhat. My daughter is a dog walker and is out in the heat all day and she finds that the cooling rags make a real difference in how she feels.
