Instructional Objectives:
The Students will:
- recall information from the story Snowballs to complete a story map.
- compare and contrast two Snow People.
- cooperatively create an original snow person.

Set: Class will be brought back to the carpet. Class will briefly recall the story The Snowman and describe the snowman from that story.

Instruction: Teacher will read Snowballs. After reading, students and teacher will complete a story map on paper. Teacher will again recall The Snowman. Students will compare and contrast the snowman from that story and the Snow father from Snowballs.
Teacher will give instructions on how to complete group project. Students will return to their seats and receive their materials. Students may use the materials provided. NO CRAYONS. Students will complete their own snow person.

Closure: Students will be brought back to the carpet. Each group will share their snow person with each student talking about the part of the project they did. After all the groups have shared, students will receive a sheet with faces on it. They are to circle the face they think indicates how well their group worked together. Teacher will collect these.
