At most teaching supply stores you can purchase bullentin board border. One of them has the days of the week written on it. I simply cut it up so that there is only one day on each card and put a hole in the top left hand corner of each page. I then place all seven cards on a metal ring so that the children each have their own set of cards to read and practice the days of the week. I did the same thing for color words, number words, shape words, and the alphabet. The students love having their own little "mini" book and after practicing with them in the classroom for two weeks, I send each of the books home for the children to continue practicing at home.
