Concepts Taught: puppet play with the painted butterflies

first read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Then with craft sticks make a egg on a leaf, a caterpillar, a chrysalis, a butterfly. Construction paper makes a leaf small white pom pom is the egg glue that on the craft stick three green pom pom are the caterpillar glue them on the stick. brown construction paper is the chrysalis on a stick and then with tissue paper make the butterfly then glue that on the final stick.When they are dry you can read the story and the children can hold up their part as the story grows into a butterfly.
