1. Choose a book and complete the contract form.

2. After completing your book do ALL of the following:
a) Prepare a list of 15 words and definitions taken from your book..
b) Prepare 10-15 fact/opinion statements about your book..

3. Complete ONE of the projects listed below:

 Write a letter to the author. Explain the strengths and weakness of the book.
 Write a one-page analysis and description of one of the characters in the book.
 Create an original fifteen-clue crossword puzzle using clues and answers from the book.
 Compare and contrast yourself to one of the characters in the book..
 Rewrite the ending of the book. DO NOT explain how the ending should be changed. Write it as if it were part of the novel.
 Imagine that the book you have read has been made into a movie. You must do the following: list at least 10 incidents/parts that are not necessary for the book. Include a list of characters and cast them with your choice of actors and actresses.
 Create a six-sided cube that depicts important events from your book.
 Choose one main character and create five diary/journal entries from his/her point of view. Fill the diary/journal with entries spread out over the entire period of time from the beginning to the end of the book.
 Create a timeline to illustrate the events in the story. Illustrate when necessary.
