This activity takes only a little preparation. Before class, type up a short passage in the target language. However, do not type it correctly. Make sure to include some mistakes/typos. For example, you can leave words out, drop an ending, change the tense, etc. Then, photocopy the paragraph so that each student will have his/her own worksheet to correct.

After handing the students the worksheet. Tell them that you are going to read a correct version of the paragraph that they have in front of them. As you read the paragraph, tell them that they are to listen, to follow along, and to correct any typos they encounter. Can they correct all the mistake on the paper correctly?
