Materials Required: cookie dough or cookie mix, alphabet letter cookie cutters, oven for cooking cookies
Concepts Taught: reading and writing

This can be used for a cooking activity along with reading and writing.
1. Children wash their hands before helping to prepare the cookie dough(made from scratch or ready made)
2. Ask the children to find the cookie cutter letter that their name begins with.
3. Give each child a part of the cookie dough show them how to roll out the dough(using their hands or rolling bins).
4. Have each child press out a letter cookie with the cookie cutter and place on a cookie sheet for cooking.
