bring 3 bags of sweets into the lesson. each child can choose 1 sweet. i brought chocolate, mint and fruity. the sweet is put on the table infront of them.

using a thesaurus fill in the 10 words for each sense relating to the experience of eating the sweet. result = 50 adjectives.circle 10 favourite adjectives.
use them in a paragraph describing the sweet.
this process can be adapted to write any description - collecting adjectives first, using all of the senses.
