Materials Required: construction paper, paper clips, dowel rod, yarn, magnet, marker
Concepts Taught: Learning letters, numbers, shapes, or colors

Ahead of time, use the construction paper to make fish. On the front, draw scales, and eyes to resemble fish. On the back draw a letter, shape, number or whatever you are studying. Add a paper clip to the fish's tail. Scatter the fish on the floor with the front facing up. Tie the yarn to the end of the dowel rod. Then tie or glue the magnet to the other end of the yarn. The child "fishes" for a fish and reads the letter or number on the back.
