Materials Required: Marker, Word Wall Words, Sentence Strips,Tape
Activity Time: Approximately 30 minutes
Concepts Taught: Review of Word Wall Words

Take your colored sentence strips cut either into
thirds or fourths depending on the size of the
words. Then take a marker and write one word
wall on each sentence strip part. I did about
25 to begin with. Then, I would tell the students
put your hands over your eyes & your head down. Then, I would hide 5-7 of these words. Then, I
would tell the students to raise their heads &
open their eyes. I would then choose 1 table of
4-5 students to get up and then tell them how many
words are hidden in the room. Give them about 3-5
minutes to find the words. Each word that the
team is able to read is worth 1 point.
Then repeat process and choose another group. Keep
going until every group has a turn. The team with the most points wins.
Now, have fun and enjoy.
