This activity was used with my Early Spanish class, ages 5 and 6. The 11th Chapter in our books which I made, is all about asking "how are you" and the feelings. This activity made the learning experience a bit funner.
The 1st day, I gave each of the children 3 balloons and after I introduced the new vocabulary (triste, enfermo, cansado, feliz....), I gave the children markers so they could draw faces on their balloons. The different facial balloons also required the kids to WRITE the feeling on the balloon.
On the 2nd day, we had a FACES and FEELINGS FIESTA, where the kids were given doughnuts with faces to eat, and they had to act out a dialog, including asking/answering names, how someone is, and what color their favorite animal is.
