Activity Time: 2 minutes
Concepts Taught: Identifying 4 Basic Shapes

Using cut-outs of the 4 basic shapes have the children learn the following simple songs to learn the names of the shapes.(it helps to draw faces on the shapes to make them more "human")
Circle: I'm Susy Circle coming to town, I look like a wheel going round and round.
Square: Sammy Square is my name, my 4 sides are all the same!
Rectangle: Ricky Rectangle is my name, my 4 sides are NOT the same, 2 are short and 2 are long, count my sides right along. 1,2,3,4
Trianle:I'm Tommy Triangle look at me! Count my sides, 1,2,3!
