Middle School- RESPECT

Objective- Student will learn effective communication strategies for developing positive
relationships with teachers.

Materials: Dealing with teachers handout.
Hang man to introduce topic: Dealing (7ltrs) with (4ltrs) Teachers (8ltrs)

Being discussion by responding to students' reactions to topic.(May moan or make comment)
Brainstorm typical communication problems between student and teacher.

How do we tend to view our relationships with our teachers? Do we avoid interaction? Do we
sekk positive or negative attention from our teachers? How do we approach (if at all) when we
need assistance?
Have students read aloud handout- Dealing with Teachers.
Discussion after reading: How many of you feel that teachers have the wrong impression if you?
Do you realize that you teach others how to treat you? You have the ability to change what others
perceive about you by how you act.
