Materials Required: black paper, glue, The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle
Concepts Taught: senceory

Read the book The Very Busy Spider By Eric Carle. At a small group table or table activity table give the children the black paper and the glue. Talk about how the web in the book felt. Talk abpout the shape of the web then have the children create their own web on the paper. Put the paper up to dry. When it is dry have the children feel their web. Take cues from the children to extend the activity.
