Overall directions to: Every student is to bring and decorate a folder with the words Civil War on it. After every lesson, the student is to write a log in their journal of what they learned in class that day. Also all worksheets and handouts are to be kept in the folder. This will help the student with the final assessment and final exam.

Week 1
Day 1 Tasks: Introduction to the Civil War Unit and Ten Facts about the Civil War handouts, read and take notes in class. The class will participate in a play called "A Divided State".
