Activity Time: 75 minutes
Concepts Taught: Of Mice And MenAfter the study of Steinbeck's novel, show the film and ask the students to fill out a questionaire you have prepare re: film adaptations of novels. For their oral presentation, kids are randomnly matched with another student. The object is to present a Siskel and Ebert review of what they thought about the film. Tell them that marks will be given for insight and originality. The ones who give their reports first are obviously going to be at an advantage. Encourages quick thinking skills. Fun and you never know what will be said next.
