Materials Required: brown& green paper & alphabet cereal & glue

Concepts Taught: letter recognition, rectangles, art, music

read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin and John Archambault.
While playing the musical tape have children cut rectangles from brown construction paper. glue onto white (any color) paper. Have tree tops made by tracing hands on green construction paper.
ea. child needs all the letters from a cereal box of 'alphabits'. Read book again while children working to tune of your choice (I copy the tape). They find the 'A' and glue it to the tree. 'B' etc.
