SENSESFeeling
Different things have different TEXTURES.
In one sentence, describe how each of the following objects 'feel' to the touch.
1. A pineapple 3. A cuddly toy
2. An egg 4. drawing pins
Now choose 4 of your OWN objects and describe how they feel to the touch.
SeeingChoose one colour and look at all the different ways it appears in the world around you;
For example:
Blue is the colour of the sky
Blue is the colour of the sea
Blue is the colour of this pen!
1. Write your own colour poem in your copy book and illustrate it.
2. What colour is being described here?
It is the colour of the sun, a long fruit and cowardice! Write your own 'colour' riddle.Hearing
Choose 4 sounds and try to describe them in a sentence. You can choose very LOUD sounds, very DEEP sounds, QUIET sounds etc.For example - The jet plane ROARED and SCREECHED as it landed.
Taste
Can you think of ten ways to describe the taste of raw onions? Or 10 ways to describe the taste of chocolate? You'll probably find it easier to describe a nasty taste than a nice taste.biting, tingly, stingy, tangy.
HOMEWORK - Now write up ALL of your SENSES sentences into one long poem and illustrate it for the wall.
