Materials Required: 6 by 9 clasp envelope, markers, 20 cut up pieces of paper, scissors, paper
Activity Time: 15-30 minutes
Concepts Taught: To learn about the children

Take the 6 by 9 clasp envelope. On the front, have the child write their first and last name in their favorite color. After they have completed that. Have them write their birth date on the bill of the envelope. After they have finished the envelope, have each child cut up a piece of paper into 20 pieces. Each piece of paper should include:
Favorite (whatever they want, answers vary)
their answer
example:
Favorite song
Babyboy
If they want, they are allowed to write in complete sentences. This exercise is a great way for teachers to get to know their students.
For extra credit they can decorate the envelope by writing their name in newspaper letters, stickers, etc. They can also cut out a picture from the internet, magazines, etc. and glue it on the back of each piece of paper. It has to be their example.
Example: Favorite sport
Their answer is soccer. They have to glue a soccer ball to the back of the paper.
