Once a week in the writing class ask the students to write on any topic of their choice. Give them as much time as they want. Once when they have written, ask them to come and sit on a chair infront of you. We call it the writer's chair. On this chair the teacher and the student do a conference and find out what more can be added to the draft written by him. In this writing class the spelling and grammatical mistakes are ovelooked. Writing in this way makes the student more confident and can write interesting things as they are given complete choice
