Winter time is here!

Winter fun just won't wait.
Winter time is here!
Get the carrot and the hat.
Make a snowman big and fat.
Winter time is here!

This story is meant to initiate discussion on the activities that take place in winter (providing your in a place that has snow). It also makes use of rhyme. After reading the story several times, other rhyming words can be generated which is a great phonemic awareness activity. If you access the reproducible books at the website above, the children can color the pictures and read it to their classmates/parents.

Autumn Is Here!

Animals getting ready.
For the winter ahead.
This story is meant to generate discussion on the changes that take place in autumn. The reproducible book can be copied and the children can color the pictures and read it to their classmates/parents.

Goodbye Winter
Goodbye winter.
Come back spring.
Come back water.
Come back leaves.
Come back grass.
Come back flowers.
Come back animals.
Come back birds.
Come back playing in the sand.
Come back riding bikes.

Hello spring!
Once again, a good story to initiate discussion on the changes that take place when spring arrives. It is highly predictable, specifically designed for emergent readers.
