Activity Time: 10 minutes
Concepts Taught: telling time

This is a whole-group computer game you can play with any class that is learning to tell time.

If your class has a SmartBoard, open up Notepad and choose the flash clock. If you can't find it, pull up any manipulative online Judy clock on the Internet.

All students have a paper and pencil. Choose one student to come to the computer and "mix up" the clock. This student is called the ClockMaster. They can move the hands and choose any time at random.

All students look at the clock and write down the exact time shown. When they are done, they raise their hand.

The student at the computer (aka the "ClockMaster") calls on a student with their hand up to read the time on the clock. If the student is correct, then they become the new ClockMaster. If the student is incorrect, then the current ClockMaster gets another turn to "mix up" the clock hands.

It's a fun game for the kids, and it's great practice for telling time.
