Materials Required: book: A' counting we will Go from CTP
Activity Time: 15 minutes ( max)
Concepts Taught: counting/ rhyming words

Read/ sing the story A'couting we will go to the children.
Point out the rhyming words in the story. Have each child
brainstorm an animal or item to count, then find a rhyming word.
for example, "A counting we will go, A counting we will go.
We'll count the rats and give them hats and the we'll let them go"
then count to a specified number.( the tune is Farmer in the
Dell).
As a follow up have the children draw pictures of pairs of rhyming words.
