Internet Lesson Plan -- Brad Blackston, Easley High School

African American Project

Objective: The student will be able to use the web to find information on a Famous African American Historian and create a power point presentation.

Materials: Paper, Pen, Internet ready computer, Rubric, note cards

Procedure:

1.Give students rubric on how assignment will be graded, and go over the requirements.

2.Give students a list of famous African Americans to choose from.
Ex. Martin Luther King Jr.

3.Explain assignment:
a.Minimum of 10 slides
b.Minimum of 5 illustrations
c.List of accomplishments
d.Explanation why African American deserves recognition
e.Oral presentation

4.Allow students four class periods to search the internet and create a power point.
