Zany Alphabet Lists
Adjective, Nouns, and Verbs
Directions: Create a crazy sentence with your other group members. Remember, each word of that sentence must contain the SAME letter of the alphabet! Don't forget to use punctuation!
Example: Angry Apes Ate.
Procedure:
1. Assign each student to a specific part of speech. (noun, adjective, or verb).
2. Give the student a total of 5-10 minutes to come up with a noun, adjective, or verb for every letter in the alphabet.
3. After students have completed this task, group the students by ability and by parts of speech. For example: A Noun, Adjective, and Verb student must be grouped together to come up with zany alphabet sentences.
4. Give the students another 5-10 minutes to combine their individual work to create their zany alphabet sentences using adjectives, nouns, and verbs.Review:
Noun: Person, Place, Thing, or Idea
Adjective: A word that modifies or describes a noun or a pronoun
Verb: Shows Action
