Provide the each student w/ the contest name (can also email an invitation via the program)
Material needed: computer with Internet connection
Lesson:
Have each student go to BigIQkids and enter the contest name. Once they log in, they are ready to enter compete. Each student competes and receives a score.
Post the classroom Spelling Contest winner. The contest will continue to be updated with the contestant's scores every time someone plays.
Continue the fun by assigning homework and have students try to beat the classroom winner's score. Keep the highest score posted in the classroom.
Spelling Bee in given by grade. We encourage the teacher to compete in the contest at an adult level. It's always fun trying to beat the teacher!
