Insect Book Comprehension Activity

1. Have your students share with a partner the names of some of the insects they read about in the book Insects.

2. Download the pictures you have bookmarked on the Internet. They are at these websites:

3.As the students look at each picture have them decide with their partner if the animal is an insect or not. The students should list the name of each of the animals on the Internet Pictures worksheet under the correct title.

4. After completing this worksheet have the students discuss how the animals were alike and how they were different. With a partner have them complete the Venn Diagram worksheet, How is An Animal Different From an Insect?
