Hi

I'm wondering if anyone might have some infornation or experience that might help me...

I have quite a few years of teaching and administrative experience in public education. (I'll omit that exact number....)

A year or two back I I was offered a DODD position, but I was told that I could only be credited with a certain amount of years, maybe five?? for salary purposes ( I have a certification area that is hard to find)

My question is this: if I were to get an offer/position with the DoDD in an administrative role, if I wanted to move to a teaching position later on down the road , might I be able to get full credit for my years of experience, since I would now be inside the system ?

It sure would be great to come full circle and finish up my career asa DODD teacher,

For right now I just cant for that kind of a pay cut ( allowing only 5 years on the pay scale)

I sure would appreciate any insight!

Thanks ...See More
haha DoDDS (the overseas portion of DoDEA) credits you with up to 10 years and gifts you a step so that you could start at step 11 on the salary scale. Also with DoDDS you would not be paying rent or utilities since that would be covered by your living quarters allowance (plus you would get a post allowance of 300 to 500 per month in addition to salary ...See More
