I am wondering about when they come to pack up our things, will they also take boxes of food?

For example, dried chiles or masa harina, things I may not be able to get in Japan for Mexican food dishes that I make at home. Thank you.

SandArt Yeah, we're Mexican-American. My husband is worried I won't be able to make the same foods. They have chicken, certainly, but do they nave New Mexico chiles?? First world problems....

haha I forget the exact official restrictions on PCS moves but I do know that many people bring spices, oils, etc. We basically double-ziplocked, bubble-wrapped a bunch of items and then packed them into plastic bins. SandArt Thanks for the suggestion, Haha. I always tip, but I have never breakfast or lunch. We've never had movers, though--just people bringing furniture we purchased.

koreatchr You could also have family members mail these items to you. It takes about a week for the mail to arrive if they send it priority.

Happy Teacher Remember that depending on your destination, customs may have an impact on your allowable items. TMO (the moving office, although I don't know what it *really* stands for).
