Lastly, there is a teacher relocation/transfer page. I don't know the details about that one.

haha If it was truly a time to do collaborative planning with your counterparts (and your subject lent itself to that) it might be fine. Although it works differently in different schools/districts, the time is generally not you meeting with your subject/grade level partners and doing meaningful collaborative planning for actual lessons.

Wanderlust Haha.. if you don't mind me asking, are you a Sped teacher? Within the district that I currently teach, we have PLC's with our individualized department 3-4 days a week. Our Friday's are early release days and that is either a Teacher Workday or PD time for the principal. If I were to be hired on by DoDEA, it would not be much of a change for me.

haha I am a SPED teacher and the dept. is just me and my assistants (some schools have more than one teacher). We don't really need early release time to collaborate and in any case, that is not the group I am assigned/allowed to spend my focus collaboration time with.

HelpOthers The early release day at my schools has been for professional development, sometimes for project based learning collaboration, but rarely to be used like common planning time.
