Has anyone here had any issues getting the memo/letter from your dependents' doctor to clear them for overseas travel? I had hoped this would be easy, but since we are seen on a military base, I am having so many issues. My children's PCM is telling me that I need to do a full overseas screening (which takes weeks and must be done through military dental, doctors, etc). I spoke with the office at our hospital that handles these things, and they say that they can't do that for me because I am not military, but they don't understand what I need to provide to HR. Did you just provide a letter? I am not sure why this is so challenging, but it is adding to the stress. :(

haha We were pretty lucky. I had my Dr. in a private hospital overseas fill out my physical paperwork and he just wrote the letter for my dependents based on their brief medical records from the same hospital.

oregonslp Question about this...is there any special form or format the Dr. needs to follow for my husband or do they just need to write a letter saying is is in good health and fit for travel overseas?
