Hi everyone, I'm getting a little mixed up on the sequence of events, although maybe that's because it's different for everyone? Anyway, I was emailed with a tentative offer and given a Position Acceptance form and a Declaration for Federal Employment form which I returned right away. Today I received another email saying "welcome to DODEA". They gave me a mountain of paperwork including the medical evaluation stuff, transportation/housing/reimbursment stuff, financial stuff, and so much more. Is this still in the tentative stage? The email didn't say "firm" or "tentative" anywhere in it. We are waiting to tell my husband's work until we have a firm offer. Also, I still haven't received any info for fingerprints or anything like that. Should that have happened already? It seems daunting to try and get all of this paperwork done and get into the doctor within 10 days but we'll see what I can do :)

I just wish there was a clearer system to see what is being handled. For example, after you receive a tentative offer a new part ...See More

Snow Lane I would say to turn down the contract. I think that a tentative offer is good enough to decide to move forward, assuming you have no health issues or background check issues to worry about.

If you want to try to get ahead, I'd say do the Anti-Terrorism training. Use these directions to take it:
