Has anyone had trouble coordinating their travel arrangements? The rotator flight from Seattle to Yokota is full until Aug. 10th, so then they told me that we could fly commercial instead. This is fine, as there were no pet spots and we were going to have to fly pets United anyways. It seems we are having more trouble aligning the domestic travel alongside with a limited travel estimate. Is the travel amount suppose to cover your domestic and international travel? Do they make adjustments if needed if it falls within your overall estimate (HHG & Travel) or are you expected to cover the domestic travel and any additional amount from the commercial flights?

Redclover711 Thanks for the info. My TMO and SATO office are having trouble determining what is covered. They are suppose to call me back tomorrow. We are on an island so it is complicating things as we have to coordinate ferry/small plane before we can then travel to Seattle. The search is not working for me. Redclover711 I got it to work just now by doing it in two steps, domestic then international. Does not include the first step of travel, but this at least gives me a ballpark. Thank you!

HelpOthers Follow the link that haha posted. Your entire flight including that first step of travel should be covered if the island is your home of record. They will not pay for the the pets, but you and your dependents should be covered the entire way.

TravelingTeacher to Daegu RedClover are you in the San Juan Islands? Just curious because I'm from there and I read that you need to coordinate ferry times (Oh I've been there!).

Redclover711 No, I live along the Inside Passage in Alaska on an island near Juneau. They finally got most of the trip booked, but still working on the bush flight out of my village. They had to get extra authorization because of all the steps to get me there. It all worked out in the end though!
