Good morning everyone! I'm starting my journey into teaching and would like to pick everyone's brains. Some background info: I have my bachelor's in healthcare management and hate it. I'm a military spouse and we've been stationed overseas twice, Japan and Germany. I know what it's like to live overseas and what I'd be getting into. I'm planning on getting my master's in education, but I'd like to get the most marketable degree in order to get hired with DoDEA. I'm interested in Elementary Ed or Middle School English. I'm thinking of getting my degree through WGU. Any particular degree I should be looking at to make myself more marketable? Thanks for any help!

haha Although getting hired is an important goal. I would also give a lot of thought on what you will enjoy teaching the most. SandArt Agree with Sienna about sped and math. I applied for my first time this year and was hired pretty quickly after my first and only interview. My friend with Dodds said, "It could take years!" Maybe I just got lucky, but I think math and sped are areas of need right now.
