Parents are desperately waiting for the open positions to be filled. We lost 17 school employees this year, 10 last and 14 the year before that. Hoping we get someone in here that wants to be here and that this will be a less turbulent year.

At the rate the government is handling GTMO processing, it may be next January before the new teacher is actually on station. So, how does that actually work? Does DoDEA expect teachers to bail out of contracts mid-year? Or are offers typically only made during certain times of the year?

DoDEA basically considers that many teachers will think of DoDEA as a career destination so they will be willing to do whatever it takes to gain entry.

haha, thank you. I've worked for my district for 15 years, and they have been wonderful to me.
