I spent 5 wonderful years as a DoDDs teacher in Italy in the early 90's. I finally have the opportunity to return and have completed my application. My questions:
1. Does the prior DoDDs experience help?
2. Are there Educational Technologists at every school? Do the positions open up or are they coveted and tough to get? (I've let my other certifications lapse over the years)

1. It should be of some help. I don't believe that there is tangible, competitive advantage (e.g. adds points to your application, hiring preference, etc.) but seeing that experience will hopefully stand out and make you at least someone worth interviewing.
